Plano Homecoming '04 Ok, since the past week has been so unbelievably hectic, I'll try and remember what's been going on.... Wednesday- Parents left for North Carolina. School was normal, marching until 6:30 and then homecoming parade (hehe...I love parades...just not after a 2 hour marching practice) and then a pep rally (the football moms were really cute). Thursday- School-80s day totally rocked my socks...finally had an excuse to wear fish nets to school. I got to see my dad at lunch! He went and picked up my garter since I had like...no time and came over for lunch...I miss him so much. Oh yeah, and he also gave me his digital camera to borrow...it's amazing. Marching until 6:30 and then Kathryn and I made a run for the grocery and then back to my house to shower and cook dinner in under an hour. Mum and garter exchange and a WONDERFUL HOMECOOKED DINNER with Dan and Eddy. My mum is absolutely gorgeous...whoever ends up being my date next year is going to have the hardest time trying to top this one...it's wonderful:) Friday- Yay school was distracting due to homecoming and noisiness from mum/garters everywhere. Haha...I love how like, every single teacher at the end of class gave some sort of "words of wisdom" for having a "safe but fun" weekend. Kathryn and I made a quick run over to Ulta (I spent $30 on makeup...gah) and then back over to Plano in time for 5:15 call time and then the football game. Since our buses are ghetto and break all the time, we didn't get back to school from the game at the time we thought, so we weren't able to go to the haunted house as planned, but we're planning on doing dinner and the haunted house next weekend...so it's all good. Instead we went to Wendy's and sat in the parking lot and talked. Saturday- Woke up and then went to pick up boutinneres (spelling?) and then back to my house to get ready for Area competition (thank you Frances for coming over and braiding our hair) and then over to Plano by 9:30. I'm sure other people in Plano band have wrote about how gay area judges are, so I'll leave this kinda short. I think our show and our performance was AMAZING. Our show isn't "traditional"...it's more of a crowd pleaser than a judge pleaser and the fact that we didn't make finals made a lot of heads spin. So yeah, that was kinda a bummer...Mrs. Castellanos took Me, Kathyrn, and Dan back over to Plano and Kathryn and I went back over to my house to get ready. Around 10 the guys came over and we figured out how to pin a boutinnere on (haha omg it's actually kinda tricky) and then we went over to the pavillion by my house and took pictures (hopefully I'll be able to get them up somehow...they're cute). Oh...I need to make a note: DAN WORE A PINK TIE :-D. Teehee...not only have I ALWAYS wanted my date to wear completely black and pink tie, but it's also the 1st time that I've really matched my date~best surprise everrrr. Then we went to the last hour of the dance. The DJ sucked like no other and when Kathryn and I went to go request a song he got all pissy about the fact that we were the ones causing all the traffic in his neighborhood (apparently he lives over in Mesquite where our contest was)...but thankfully they ended with one good song. After the dance we split and Kathryn and Eddy went over to Eddy's for a little and then to Blockbuster to pick up movies and Dan and I went grocery shopping. haha...I dunno why but going to Tom Thumb at 12:30 in a prom dress with Dan was probably one of the best parts of my night. Then we all met up back over at my house with food and movies. Forrest and Emilee stopped by for awhile and then left. I think we all finally woke up around 12ish and then Jacob and Anu decided to stop by..then everyone left and Anu Kathryn and I went shopping lol. Today (Monday)- Not at school. hah. David just IMed me and asked me what I was doing home...so might go hang out w/ him later. All region master classes tonight...let's see how much I suck. I could stay awake just to hear you breathing I don't wanna close my eyes
