What's it all about?

So what is homecoming all about?

I think I’ve kinda lost sight of that through all the apparent drama and stress which has seemingly come with it. But ya know what? I think I’ve finally found it again. All the crap that has been bothering me lately I was able to let go…it’s not worth my tears and worries anymore. All because of this: Homecoming, to me, is about being there with the people who you want to be with. Despite the fact that band has contest that day, despite the fact that old plans didn’t fall through, despite the fact that there was drama (ironic how that happens every year huh? Ugh geez)…I know I’m gonna have a good time. Just spending the night with a few of my best friends and being with someone that I actually really like…that’s all that should matter.

Oh yeah, and the fact that my parents are going to be hundreds of miles away…lol who can forget about that?

I’m excited again :).

Anyways…for English we watched Dead Poet’s Society (amazing movie btw) and as a reflection they wanted us to write a letter to a teacher that has influenced our lives. So…guess who I decided to write about? Haha…I almost started crying when I was the writing a letter to him (I’m talking about Mr. Sands if you didn’t know…). I get so nostalgic sometimes…makes me want to skip 0 hour sometime next week and visit him. I hate APUSH anyways. Come to think of it, I might write him an e-mail later tonight…it’s been awhile since I’ve done that. If you don’t know Mr. Sands, I’ll just start by saying he’s the best teacher I’ve ever had/probably ever will have. I don’t know how to describe him if you were never his student, so I’m not going to try. He was kinda like an older brother to me…yeah…that’s it. I’ve never had a teacher care so much about his students.

Well…time to go do homework since my entire weekend has been shot by band. It was nice to see West buddies again last night…I miss you guys. Looking forward to hopefully seeing yall’s show next weekend.

~Love, Jen.

PS- Goodness, nothing makes me laugh harder than hanging out w/ the guys~ yall crack me up I love you like no other.

PSS- Norah Jones is amazing.
