civic tour Haven't felt like getting online much lately, so here's my update for the past few days. The Civic Tour was Friday night. Woooooow...much fun. My voice is still surprisingly here. I feel kinda bad for my uncle and Franny's mom having to drive all the way out there and back...the Nokia Center was out in the middle of nowhere (Grand Praire). Anyways...we scored pit tickets, which were awesome except my feet were KILLING me by the end of the night. It started off with The Format~I had never heard of them before and they were AWESOME live, so go d/l some of their songs! And then The Get Up Kids (also very good)...and then Christine and I found out how insanely overpriced WATER was (go to a gas station before and get water bottles~trust me). Then Thrice played. Note: don't bring a purse to a rock concert, don't wear flip flops if you're gonna be in the pit, and stay far away from moshing unless you want to get bruised. I think that about covers what we learned from Thrice's performance. Moral of the story: I got my very own bruise from my very first mosh pit. haha. painful, but hey you only live once right? I wanna crowd surf! Hmmm...and then in between Thrice and Dashboard we tried pushing our way to the very front but um...that ended up not working very well. Everyone was pressed up against each other all sweaty. Not being able to breathe and getting groped by random people (ew fat lady ew) convinced Christine and I to move further back. Dashboard was awesomeeeeeeee. I love singing along to them. Chris did a really good job *sigh*. All in all a very good night. Anybody want to go to Lollapalooza with me...por favor?? It's raining (again). I dunno if that's a good thing or a bad thing, I kinda like the rain, it's calming...but then again it's summer and I like being able to fry and then jump in the pool. Hm.
